 Rei Kawakubo, founder of Comme des Garcons, was born
in Tokyo and is well known for her deconstructive approach to clothing. She
is very interested in new textiles and finishing techniques with which she
creates contemporary clothing to challenge the wearer in many ways. Just
a few years ago, she opened her first perfume boutique in Paris to develop
the Comme des Garcons Parfums range! Comme des Garcons 2 is a mossy wood
fragrance plays with complements and contrasts, reflection and opacity, mirror
and brilliance, light and shadow, earth and the energy of the
sun. The fragrance includes incense, amber, chinese cedarwood,
orange, mandarin, cumin, angelica root, vetiver, cinnamon, nutmeg, labdanum,
patchouli, cade oil, absolute mate', magnolia, Japanese sumi ink,
and absolute folia.
