Gi rly Nation: What have you been up to lately?
Jon Paul: Well, we're in the process of moving to New York City right
now. We just finished our album a couple months ago and we got off tour a
couple weeks ago. So we're gonna move to New York now and start touring again,
then do promotion for the album.
Girly Nation: What's the weirdest question
that you've been asked on an interview?
Jon Paul: Well, i think the weirdest question would have to be what's
the biggest fight you've had with the band, actually, it's pretty straight
forward, ya know. But it was a pretty weird question. Another one is like
has anyone ever stole anybody else's french fries. No other really weird
questions really.
Girly Nation: Which celebrity looks most
like your mom?
Jon Paul: Meg Ryan.
Girly Nation: Have you given that any thought
beforehand?
Jon Paul: No, but it was the first person that came to mind,
::laugh::
Girly Nation: Are you into the Harry Potter
book craze?
Jon Paul: Yes, actually I am. I've read the first one, actually I'm
working on the first one, but I really like it so far,
yeah.
Girly
Nation: Have you ever been star struck?
Jon Paul: No, actually, I haven't. Well, maybe one time, but then
I realized it wasn't that big of a deal, so I let go of it.
Girly Nation: Do you have any celebrity
crushes?
Jon Paul: Yeah, Angelina Jolie
Girly Nation: Do you have any other passions
besides music?
Jon Paul: No not really, that's basically all my life.
Girly Nation: If you could trade places
with any fictional movie character, who would it be?
Jon Paul: Maybe Indiana Jones.
Girly Nation: Why Him?
Jon Paul: I don't know, he's just kind of a fun person and he's always
doing crazy stuff.
Girly Nation: If you could be on any magazine
cover, which would it be?
Jon Paul: Rolling Stone
Girly Nation: If you could change anything
about the entertainment industry, what would it be?
Jon Paul: I would have to take away a few of the
boybands...
Girly Nation: Do you have any embarassing
concert stories?
Jon Paul: One time we were playing a show in Denver, and I walked
out into the audience with my guitar in a song and I stood up on a chair
and the chair got away from underneath me and the chair fell and I hit my
head.
Girly Nation: What makes 3rd Degree different
from others bands in the same category?
Jon Paul: Well, we come from a different background than a lot of
the pop/rock bands come from today.. where as we started out working with
older stuff like classic rockand we've got more old school influences than
other pop rock bands.
Girly Nation: How would you, personally,
describe your music?
Jon Paul: I would say that it's modern rock with an old school
flare.
Girly Nation: How was your first live show
and what was your reaction to it?
Jon Paul: It was pretty small, intimate, maybe 20 people there. In
a small club and we were all too young, but they let us come up and play
a few songs. It was a pretty amazing because we were sitting in our basement
2 years practicing for that, and it was a big step for it. It was a lot of
fun!
Girly Nation: How long ago was your first
show?
Jon Paul: 5 years ago? |
