HOW TO...APPLY MAKEUP TO
FACE

even out
skintone
Use an oil-free liquid foundation in a color
that matches your skin perfectly - do not use foundation or powder to change
your skin color (and remember to buy one that is yellow-based, not pink-based)!
Make sure the texture is light - you don't want to use a thick, heavy
formula.
You can either apply only on areas that need to be evened out (around the
base of nose, red or discolored spots, zits, etc) or apply it over your entire
face. If you're applying to your entire face, use the the six dot method
(use small dots) - one on the forehead, each cheek, the nose, and on each
side of the chin. Spread evenly with a non-dampened makeup sponge (use the
wedge type). Also smooth a little over eyelids. Remember to go easy - you
want your face to look natural! If your skin only needs a little help, use
a sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer (or mix your current foundation
with moisturizer on your fingertips or the back of your hand and then
apply).
Type Tips: If your skin is Dry, go for a creamy formula; if your skin
is Sensitive, make sure your foundation is hypoallergenic; if you have Oily
skin, make sure your foundation is water-based and noncomedegenic.
You can skip this step if your skin doesn't need any help (it's okay to only
apply concealer, coverup, and powder, if that's all you need).
